Tune Talk Mobile Prepaid (“Tune Talk”) which holds one of
the first and largest professionally managed pan-Malaysian amateur championship
offering a total of RM150, 000 in cash for its contestants. What more can a
fighter ask for? Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts (MIMMA) offers this
change through its recently launched competition for all the young guns having
the urge to battle in the cage. With a great opportunity to watch these
fighters from all over Malaysia to show off their skills, that thanks goes to Tune
Talk and Esente Communications for making this happen.
It all started with 56 MIMMA FC contestants and as I watched
each of the fighters fall in battle, leaving one man standing each round. The pure
adrenaline excites passersby and gathered hundreds of shoppers in Paradigm Mall
as well as MMA fans who came to support and snapping pictures while the crowd cheers
for more blood! Reminds me of the movie Gladiator.
Jason Lo said at the Quarter finals, “We are excited to see the talents that have come this far. All of them have dedicated themselves to extreme trainings and weight control in the last 5 months in order to give their best performance. The surge of contestants in MIMMA comes to prove that we have a lot of local talents that were not given chance to showcase their ability in the MMA sport. Tune Talk, in an effort to promote and grow this sport, would like to give all amateur fighters a chance to showcase their ability. Through this platform, we want to develop these contestants in building their self-discipline and one day be given a chance to compete in the international MMA space.”
I bumped into a couple of the ONE Fighting Championship
Fighters – Eric Kelly, Gianni Subba, AJ Pyro, Arnaud, Melvin and a few others.
Eric Kelly, one of my favourite fighter from ONE FC!
Matt Pellino who was the Host (still is) for the day. Underneath that jacket is also a Fighter - don't let that quirky smile fool you.
Gianni and Peter socializing.
A fighter in the cage yet a real cool, humble chap and popular with the ladies, Mr. Peter Davis.
I must give credits to Henry for boosting me a couple of favours. Thank you so much!!!
Jason Lo! Used to have his "Evening News" on repeat.
Jason Lo, Like a Boss.
"Came to buy One Direction Tickets, VIP ah, front row." VS. "It's not me!"
